Question by Evelyn: Bringing dogs from San Francisco to Philippines, which airline to travel with and what is the cost?
I am planning to bring home back my dog but I need to find out which airlines to use and what is the cost.

Use <> travel site to find out which airline fly between the cities involved.
Then, CALL each airline and talk to them about this question.

You should NEVER rely on strangers to give you answers to this kind of question. If you follow advice from here, you may find that the answer was wrong, and you do not have all of the paperwork and preparation done correctly.

The airline will have very specific requirements that you must follow in order for them to transport an animal – proof of vaccinations and other health checks are critical.

In addition, you <> contact a Philippine embassy or consulate BEFORE you make any more plans to find out what you need in order to import your dog to the Philippines. If you do not have ALL of the paperwork, medical forms and whatever else is required, then you may find that your dog is refused entry, or is held in quarantine for many weeks – at your expense – after you arrive.

Do NOT try to short cut the process.

Question by Christine: It is going to be 11 degrees outside tom night got any suggestions for ppl not bringing dogs inside?
My crazy friend called me tonight asking me if I was bringing my dogs in tomorrow night since it us supposed to be 11 degrees (mine are inside LOL) she has 2 dodgs a 5 year old beagle and a 14 year old beagle. She is planning on bringing in the older one but was curious what she could do for the other one other than just his dog house.

We are in NC so it is not normally this cold.

Thank you!

I am getting a second dog in about 2 weeks and have a 7 month old dog already. They are from the same mother and father, just born at a different time. My dog is a purebred Rat Terrier and so is her younger sister we are going to get for her. I just want to know what to expect when we bring home the second dog.

well first off let the new pup meet the older pup to see if they can coop with each other.

expect the older pup to start pooping/peeing to show its “territory”

Question by Charlee36: don’t know how to prevent bringing sicknesses home to pets from an animal shelter?
i really love working with animals, but my dad doesn’t want me to bring anything home to any of my 5 pets. We don’t want to get them sick or anything. what should i do about that? I need a summer job for money, and this sounds like a great opportunity for me. please help me!

Answer by super_goofychick
first, animal shelters don’t pay money. they only have one or two paid employees and those are usually in charge of records and reviewing adoption contracts or their veterinarian. all other workers are soley volunteer. ok now about your question, animal diseases and bacteria are fragile and most cannot survive on clothes or surfaces. they most effective way to protect your pets at home is to wash your hands between contact with each animal and at the end of your shift. also, bacteria and viruses can live on shoe bottoms so leave your shoes outside or rinse them off before comming inside. make sure all of your pets are current on their vaccines and you should be fine

Ask the pet store what you will need. They sell these and people buy them so they will put them in a container for you to bring them home in. You would need a cage, food, perhaps a house, treats, vitamins, etc….they would know.
